| For sale is a wonderful oil on board painting of a flock of sheep with storm approaching. Approximately 8" x 5" WITHOUT the frame and 9 1/4" x 12 1/2" WITH the frame which is new and in good condition. Signed lower right F.Brissot. This picture shows a flock of sheep in the foreground with a storm approaching. There are houses in the distance and a wagon in the right rear. Felix Saturnin Brissot de Warville was French 1818-1892. Born Sens (Yonne); He was an animal painter. Pupil of Cogniet. Meda 2nd class , 1892. Works: In the Plain, The Thicket (1881); Sheep in Meadow (1882); Flock of Sheep, Leaving the Park(1883); Sheep at Rest, The Return (1884); Interior of Sheepfold, Return of the Flock (1885) He is listed in Benezit.
