American Indian Sterling Silver Inlay Bola L Watchman
For sale is a beautiful sterling silver bola inlaid with various stones by Navajo artist, Larry Watchman, 1850-2009. Approximately 2" x 1 1/2". This lovely piece of Navajo jewelry is made up of sterling silver inlaid with shell, turquoise, coral and mother of pearl, to name a few. It is attached to woven leather with 2 1/4" sterling tips. It was very hard to photograph but is beautiful. Marked on the back, "LW". Larry Watchman was born October 8, 1850 in Shiprock, into the Redhouse People Clan for the Mountain Cove People Clan. He was a silversmith and member of the East Navajo Fair Board. He lived in Crownpoint, New Mexico. He died at the age of 58 in Laguna Acoma. Very good condition.
