Native American Hopi Coochwytewa Sterling Belt Buckle
For sale is a gorgeous Native American Hopi sterling silver overlay belt buckle. Approximately 1 3/4" x 2 5/8" and 1.60 troy ounces or 49.6 grams. It depicts a "Hopi Village with Kiva and Elders". The designer and craftsman is Victor Coochwytewa, c.1940-present. He is now retired at 87. He is of the Water Patki Clan and of the Shungopavi village. He originally worked with Paul Saufkie. Signed with Kopavi Flute Player and Victor's Rain Cloud mark. The Flute Player is a registered trademark that guarantees that it is a piece of handcrafted Hopi Native American jewelry and it was made for Kopavi. It is also marked STERLING and I believe a copyright mark. Very good condition.
