| Wonderful set of 4 handpainted plates depicting birds by Doulton Burslem. Approximately 9" in diameter. Each is artist signed "Hallmark". Marks include the Doulton Burslem hallmark with England underneath. The word England was used between 1891 and 1902. The registered number Rd.72067. The retailer was Higgins & Setier New York. They are beautifully executed birds in their natural environment. Completely handpainted with 4 different scenes. They are painted on English Translucent China. Very good condition with no chips or cracks. Some gilt loss to outer edge. | |||||||||||||||
