| Beautiful marine watercolor painting by American artist, John Cuthbert Hare c.1908-1978. Approximately 19" x 21 1/2" WITH the frame and matting. WITHOUT the frame it measures 9 1/2" x 11 1/2". Signed lower right, John Hare. He was well known for his boats, seascapes and harbor scenes. He was primarily associated with New England, especially Cape Cod, Massachusetts where he spent his summers from 1938 to 1965. In 1967 he moved to Yarmouthport Ma and also painted in Gloucester.
