| Finely executed oil on board by Dutch artist Jacob Van Dieghem. c.1870. Approximately 6 5/8" x 9 1/2" WITHOUT the frame. WITH the frame it measures 11" x 13 3/4". Signed lower left, Jb. Van Dieghem 1870. There are 3 sheep. The mother standing and 2 young lying down on a hillside overlooking a valley. Jacob Van Dieghem was a popular 19th century landscape painter. Well known for his farm animals and poultry. Very good condition with minor scattered retouches. The frame is antique and has been repainted. | ||||||||||
