| Gorgeous watercolor painting of north shore harbor scene by listed artist, John Hare. Approximately 18 1/2" x 20 1/2" WITH the frame and matting. WITHOUT the frame it measures approximately 9 1/2" x 11 5/8". Signed lower right, John Hare. John Cuthbert Hare, American 1908-1978. He was a watercolorist who painted boats, seascapes and harbors. He was associated with Massachusetts where he spent his summers on Cape Cod and Gloucester. He studied at the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn and the Art Students League in Manhattan. He was a member of St Augustine Art Assn. His works are in the Lowe Art Museum, Lightner Museum in FL and Smith College Museum of Art. He died in Palm Beach FL. The framing and matting are in beautiful condition. This original watercolor is ready for hanging. | ||||||||||||
