| Beautiful landscape watercolor painting by American artist, Agnes Dean Abbatt, New York, NY 1847-1917. Approximately 11 1/2" x 19 1/2" WITHOUT the frame. With the frame it measures 19 1/4" x 27 1/4". Signed lower left A.D.Abbatt. Elected member of the National Academy in 1902. Studied art at Cooper Union and The National Academy of Design. She was a pupil of JD Smillie, R Swain Gifford. Painted in oils & watercolors, also wax modelling. She painted landscapes, coast scenes & flowers. Medal at Cooper Union & 1st prize in oil painting at San Antonio, TX. Very good condition. | |||||||
